LUNCHTIME CONCERT SERIES: DUO DELA
Saxophonist Joseph Lallo (Australia) and Soprano Claire Trouilloud (France), together with special guest composer Ivan Solano (Spain) present Naissance / Renaissance. From the theatrical and playful to the poetic and provoking, Duo Dela absorbs their audience into a rare and captivating sound world. The programme combines haunting renaissance melodies, improvisation, and new music written especially for the ensemble. Only months after forming in 2013, Duo Dela were recipients of the Strasbourg HEAR New Talent Scholarship, and were invited to perform throughout Alsace and Paris. They performed the world premiere of… But Rachel was Beautiful… by Chilean composer Javier Muñoz Bravo, and at the 2015 World Saxophone Congress and Festival, gave the world premiere What is to be, by Spanish composer Ivan Solano. In 2017, Duo Dela will be performing in Paris, Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne.
