Propositions for a Stage: 24 Frames of a Beautiful Heaven looks to the limits of time and the possibilities of time’s staging. In theatre and film, the stage, set and scene provide us with a space-time apart from the every day: a speculative world. In the exhibition, artists’ use of performance, film and questions of time—as a haunting, as stasis and as a looping repetition—refers to multiple ideas and forms of ‘staging’, and points to the entangled relationship between time, technology and the worlds that it produces.
